partnership with FAST Cables, worked alongside PHA, the Forest Department and EPA to plant 5,000 indigenous trees across two public parks in Lahore. But this campaign was about more than planting trees 🌳 Through Bargad’s Local Peace Structures (LPS), multi-faith community networks created under the Faith in Action Project, communities took ownership of their parks — forming Park Committees, arranging irrigation, advocating for regular cleaning, and mobilising additional infrastructure support from PHA. In Ghazi Abbas Park, a Muslim and Christian community came together to make environmental action a shared responsibility — showing how caring for our environment can also bring communities closer. With 100+ people at the inauguration and 5+ institutional partners engaged, the campaign leaves behind more than newly planted trees: it leaves stronger communities, greener public spaces, and a foundation for continued action. 🌿 Because a greener Lahore is not just about planting trees.
